Finger sizes vary significantly from one person to the next, so it can be almost impossible to get your ring size right just by guessing. Use our ring sizing chart and guide to check your ring size before before buying rings online.
How Should a Ring Fit?
Ultimately this comes down to what feels comfortable. But as a guide, your ring should fit your finger well enough so it won't fall off with the wave of a hand, but it should also be loose enough to fit over your knuckle without too much difficulty - and allow for natural changes in finger size that happen throughout the day.
Should You Go Larger or Smaller?

If you're between ring sizes or there's a reasonable difference in your size throughout the day, a good thing to bear in mind is that it's typically better to go for a slightly larger size than one that's too small, so you should err in that direction. There's nothing worse than a ring that's too tight on your finger!
Wide Band Rings
If you're purchasing a ring with a wide band (8mm), this will typically require sizing up. You should go up a quarter to half a size using US numerical sizes or a full size in the Australian and British alphabetical ring sizing system. Refer to our ring sizing chart for more help.
Large Knuckles
If you have larger knuckles, don't forget that you'll need the ring to slide over your knuckle without too much difficulty.
To take this into account, you should also measure your knuckle and the part of your finger where the ring will sit. Choose a size between your finger size and knuckle size and check to be sure that a ring that size will fit over your knuckle.

Our rings are made to order, meaning upon order confirmation, our team of artisans begin working on your ring from scratch. The turnaround time can vary per ring based on the complexity of the design or materials being used. For this reason, each ring page has a dedicated turnaround time stamped on the product page below "add to cart" that outlines roughly when to expect your ring if you were to order today. In general, all ring designs are crafted and ship within two weeks of placing the order.
If you have a special circumstance that requires expediting an order, please reach out to our client service team to inqiure about a quicker turnaround time. In some cases, we are able to craft and ship a ring within 48 hours of order placement. Expedite orders may incure a rush-fee.
We welcome ideas to make the ring more personal for you. Fill out our custom ring form here and we will review and get back to you within 24 hours! Customization fees will be determined based on the extent of customizing. Discount codes may not be applied to custom ring orders.
Please note that we do not offer inside engravings.
Our lifetime limited warranty includes complimentary services for the following:
- Free repair of any dings, scratches or chips your ring has acquired
- Free replacement of a ring that is damaged beyond repair due to a defect in craftsmanship
- Discounts on a new ring as a replacement for ring damage or loss not covered by our lifetime limited warranty
WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THE LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY?
- Loss of the ring
- Changes in size needed exceeding the 30-day exchange window
- Cracks or breaks in the ring due to excessive impact
- Damage to the ring due to misuse. (For example, don't go rock climbing or surfing with your ring!)
- Damage due to the exposure of harsh chemicals or cleaning agents.

WHAT IF MY RING ISSUE IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY?
We still welcome you to submit a warranty claim if you are unsure or otherwise would like to check if your case falls under the warranty. Our goal is to make your experience with us and your ring as amazing as possible.
Returns & Exchange Policy:
All Rings:
- Have a 30 day window from the date of the original ring delivery to exchange or return your ring. Please visit your account portal to initiate the return/exchange process.
Please note: A 12% restocking fee is required for all ring returns.
- Rings with provided materials may not be returned.
- Custom rings are final sale and may not be returned, however, they may be exchanged for size.
- Leather ring wallets, ring sizers and other items outside of the ring collections are final sale.
All rings must be in clean, unworn, and sellable condition to be accepted for return or exchange. We reserve the right to charge a damage fee on any rings returned with excessive scratching or other abuse.
Rings Placed on Hold:
- Rings placed on hold are orders in which the customer has paid in full while awaiting a complimentary ring sizer. Typically the sizer is sent within 24 hours of the order date and delivered within 5-7 days, at which point the customer is obliged to send the necessary sizing info to My Roots customer service so they can begin working on their order. If the customer chooses to change their mind and cancel the order before My Roots ships the ring out, a full refund will be issued shortly thereafter. Rings that have been shipped out are subject to the same standards as the above policy.
- If the customer chooses to cancel their order exceeding 30 days since the original order date without having sent in the necessary sizing info, the customer is entitled to a refund in the form of store credit only.
Size Exchanges: A free size exchange is offered within the 30 day window of receiving your original band. Additional size exchanges incur a fee of 20% of the original retail price. For additional resizes, we will invoice you for the additional exchange fee, then provide a shipping label, so everything can be tracked both ways.
