About Wood Rings
Craftsmanship
Our rings are crafted using traditional wood jeweling techniques. Each ring is handmade using the bentwood method. This method wraps the grain of the wood around the ring's circumference resulting in superior strength and excellent durability. After this, each ring is hand polished to a waterproof matte finish.
Reclaimed Wood
Sustainable wood comes from sustainably managed forests. It's renewable because the forest stewards manage the landscape to prevent damage to eco-systems, watersheds, wildlife and the trees themselves, taking a long term rather than short term view of the resource.
Much of our wood is sourced through Sauer's Veneers. They are created from sustainably harvested, domestic raw wood, giving you peace of mind that you're making an environmentally friendly choice for your ring.
Our Hawaiian Koa wood is genuine native koa wood. Hawaiian koa wood is endemic to Hawaii, where it is the second most common tree in Hawaii and strictly protected. We are honored to share this rare and unique grain and color with the world through our rings.
Stone & Inlay Materials
We hunt for quality mineral specimens with little to no matrix and purchase from reputable sellers. The material is then crushed and hand sieved to fit into our intricate designs.
Care Instructions
Our wooden rings cannot be treated like full metal rings regarding the durability and hard-wearing nature of the ring. These rings are more of a fashion piece and when deciding on a ring, these precautions should be taken into consideration.
The rings are coated with a hard and durable clear coating that reinforces the ring's strength and makes it resistant to water. You should not allow your ring to come in contact with harsh chemicals and avoid wearing it when going about rough manual tasks that may scratch or knock the ring.
Sizing
It is essential to get accurate sizing for your finger. We are happy to provide you with a free ring sizer with the purchase of a ring to get your precise ring size. Feel free to contact us with any information on how to get your size, or find a reputable jeweler to have your ring sized.
